Post-Industrial

The “Post-Industrial Potion Pots” series uses found, obsolete machine parts in the design of lidded vessels. Wheel-thrown stoneware clay forms are combined with hand-built sections that distort the otherwise conventional shapes; the found parts enhance the alterations, sometimes with humorous effect. These are vessels that have been influenced by the industrial age but may contain within them the potions required to survive it.
